2U Dental Team Visit the 2025 Care Show at the NEC Birmingham

Members of the 2U Dental senior management team — Dr Azad Emyrulu, Dr Honar Shakir, and Laurence Hale — attended the 2025 Care Show at the NEC Birmingham, the UK’s leading event for care professionals and providers.

The team explored a wide range of exhibitor stands and were impressed by the breadth, depth, and quality of services available across the care home sector. It was encouraging to see such a strong collective focus on driving operating efficiencies and improving quality of care, despite the ongoing challenges of rising costs.

A key theme throughout the event was the increasing importance of IT and digital solutions in improving operational performance. A significant number of software providers were represented, showcasing the sector’s growing reliance on data-driven systems to support better outcomes for residents.

During the show, the 2U Dental team also engaged with several key care organisations to discuss the company’s innovative mobile dental care service, including its specialist approach to dementia dental care.

As part of this focus, the team met with Mary Bruce, Founder of Dementia Educators, to discuss 2U Dental’s existing dementia dental training facilities in Stockholm, Sweden — operated in partnership with Flexident, Europe’s leading mobile dental care specialists — and the potential to establish a similar training centre in the UK.
